You can craft any of the low level magical resources using the normal means of crafting non-magical items. That is, use a leather workbench to Quality leather items.

For Superior Leather items, you must find an Obelisk (formerly named Runic Shard). There are three of these on the land in places that are far from any spawn gate. You can also Quality Leather items at Obelisks if you desire to do so.

For Flawless and Wyvern Leather items, you must find a Rune Spire (formerly named Ancient Runic Shard). There are Rune Spires in the land and they are placed in very difficult terrain with tough monsters surrounding them. You can craft any lesser magical leather items, if you so desire, at a Rune Spire.

Skinning

• Skinning is based on Dexterity.

	Skinning Knife. A normal tool for Skinning.
	Magic Skinning Knife. Adds 20 levels to Skinning, gives double non-magical skinned hides (20 skill required). This bonus is only for success and xp gain, does not allow you to skin higher required.
	Dragonian Skinning Knife. Adds 20 levels to Skinning, gives double non-magical skinned hides (20 skill required). This bonus is only for success and xp gain, does not allow you to skin higher required. This knife is required to skin dragon carcasses, it is a result of a quest, and it is No-Drop.

	Carcass. If a dead body has one of these inside it, this is what you skin with your skinning knife.

	Skinned Hides - can be obtained from the dead bodies of any normal animal that you can skin at any level of skinning.
	Quality Skinned Hides - can be obtained from the dead bodies of any normal animal that you can skin with an unmodified skinning skill of 30 or greater.
	Superior Skinned Hides - can be obtained from the dead bodies with an unmodified skinning skill of 45 or greater.
	Flawless Skinned Hides - can be obtained from the dead bodies with an unmodified skinning skill of 70 or greater.

	Wyvern Sinew - can be obtained from the dead bodies of Mature Wyverns, Greater Wyverns and Elder Wyverns with an unmodified skinning skill of 80 or greater. Also has been known to be a 'drop' on those same monsters. Requires Talazar's Revenge* Expansion.

	Dragon Hide - can be obtained from the dead bodies of Dragons with an unmodified skinning skill of 100 and using a Dragonian Skinning Knife (Quest Reward). Requires Sands of Creation* Expansion.

	Titan Hides - can be obtained from the carcasses of Titan Scorpions located in the sandy regions of Rahura and Khafra. The hides are not workable persa but part of a quest and are "No Drop". Requires Sands of Creation* Expansion.
	Tangled Hides. Random Drop from Swamp Beasts. Available on Chaos Server Only!

Tanning

• Tanning is based on Intelligence.

	Potion of Tanning. Used in lieu of Tanning Vats at the Leatherworking shop.

	Leather. Skinned Hides can be tanned and turned into Leather, which is used to craft leather weapons and leather armor.
	Quality Leather. Quality Skinned Hides can be tanned and turned into Quality Leather, which is used to craft Keen and Excellent leather weapons and some low level leather armor.
	Superior Leather. Superior Skinned Hides can be tanned into Superior Leather which is used for crafting Fine and Balanced leather weapons and medium grade leather armor.
	Flawless Leather. Flawless Skinned Hides can be tanned into Flawless Leather which is used for crafting Superior leather weapons and high grade leather armor.
	Wyvern Leather. Wyvern Sinews can be tanned into Wyvern Leather which is used for crafting Wyvern leather armor. Note: Tanning Potions can not be used on Sinews to create the Wyvern Leather. * Talazars Revenge Required.
	Tangled Leather. Tangled Hides are tanned into Tangled Leather. Available on Chaos Server Only!

Leather Salvaging

• Leather Salvaging is based on Dexterity.
• Leather Salvaging is used to reuse already made or found leather items and return them to orginal source of leather. Currently the best salvage you can only recieve up to 50% of the orginal material used. • Talazars Revenge Required.

	Leather Salvage Tools. Normal tools for Leather Salvaging.
	Asha's Auger. Adds 10 to Leather Salvage Skill. Must have 20 in Leather Salvage Skill to use.

Leatherworking

• Leatherworking is based on Dexterity.

	Leatherworking Tools. Normal tools for Leatherworking.
	Magic Leather Tools. Adds 10 to Leatherworking Skill. This is only for xp and success rate not what your able to craft.
	Mystical Orb of Leatherworking. Adds 30 to all Leatherworking Skills for a duration of 5 minutes. Must have Sands of Creation* Expansion to use.

Titan Hide Armor Set

• Titan Scorpions dwell in the far reaches of the Sands of Artoria, far from Rahura and far from Khafra. Titan Scorpions pack a mean punch but they are a prize to a Ranger. Titan Scorpions leave a carcass to skin, upon success you only get a Titan Hide it is a 'No-Drop" item. These are quest items. Each piece of gear requires more Hides to be turned in, below they are listed. Even though not a 'true leathercrafting' gear set, it is considered a skinned set. This does require Sands of Creation Expansion.
